While the didgeridoo is synonymous with Australia, one citizen diplomat is using the aerophone to teach cultural respect to all people.

Julia Watson and Dr. Guy Golan discuss the didgeridoo, perceptions of Australia and the power of music as a cultural diplomacy tool with Darren Liebman of Didg Revolution.

Darren Liebman founded Didg Revolution in 2001. It is a didgeridoo-percussion musical trio and movement focused on expanding awareness of the didgeridoo and the rich Aboriginal culture behind it. He also created Didgeridoo Down Under, an Australia-themed edu-tainment program. Since 2003, he has presented more than 4,000 shows and workshops at 2,000-plus venues for well over 400,000 viewers and participants.
